The activity of the Mazandaran Regional Water Company is to perform operational tasks of water resources management in the field of recognition, study, development, conservation, optimal utilization of water resources, as well as the creation and development, operation and maintenance of water facilities and structures (to Exceptions to water and wastewater facilities and structures) and hydroelectricity, in the framework of river basin management requirements and policies, and comprehensive studies and planning of water resources development, the duties specified in relevant regulations and policies of the Ministry of Energy.

In order to achieve these goals, the company, in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations within its scope, is authorized to do the following:
Carrying out studies to identify, develop and utilize hydroelectric power and water resources
Preparation and implementation of water supply and distribution projects (dams, irrigation and drainage networks and water transfer), Damage sustainability and safety, river and coastal engineering, flood control, artificial nutrition and hydroelectric power generation.

Note: The preparation and implementation of plans and projects for the supply and transfer of water from the national currency in accordance with the capabilities and capacity of executive, technical, human resources, management of the company and with the identification of the Ministry of Energy.

Take necessary measures to prevent the loss of resources and compensation for groundwater within the framework of the regulations approved by the Ministry of Energy.
Exploitation of water resources in the framework of the policies, regulations and programs approved by the Ministry of Energy.
Operation and maintenance of water supply and supply facilities and hydroelectric power generation facilities have been created or delegated.

Note: Hydroelectric power generation will be in accordance with the operating instructions and managed by the National Navigation and Monitoring Center of the National Electricity Network (Dispatching).

Implementation of programs and approvals by the Ministry of Energy in the implementation of the law on the fair distribution of water and other water laws and regulations (including basic studies, quantitative and qualitative conservation and monitoring of the exploitation of water resources), as well as the ministry's brokerage Force in licensing the use and utilization of water resources required by different sectors of consumption in the form of appropriation approved by the Ministry of Energy.

Note: The company is authorized to carry out a brokerage of the Ministry of Energy in joint study areas (neighborhoods) with neighboring provinces.
Carrying out research on water resources and hydropower plants and hydroelectricity, and applying new scientific and technical methods for the better exploitation of water and hydropower resources and related facilities.

Submission of subscriptions to applicants on the basis of relevant tariffs within the relevant laws and regulations.
Delivery of water needed to subscribers in different sectors of consumption based on tariffs approved by relevant authorities
Purchase of services from the non-governmental sector for the conduct of studies, executive, operation and maintenance of hydroelectric and hydro hydro power plants and subscriber services to reduce costs, increase productivity and improve service levels.
